well, here i am at one week to go. i have to go to new york next week to work at the national design conference, so this means everything has to be finished by next monday: 7 days and counting.

today i bought 3 ipod shuffles and i'm spending tomorrow afternoon making each shuffle its own personal wooden box so nobody walks off with it. i have to drill a 1 inch hole for the play controls, and a small hole to let the headphones come out of. its wooden on three sides and plexi on top so you can see how pretty apple products are. its ridiculous because a shuffle on its own is about 1 7/8 inch by 1 1/16 inch (happened to measure it today with gene, our woodshop guy).
which means the box is going to be at most 3 inches by 4 i think. which then i am centering in the middle of a shelf that is 18 honking inches by 15. yep. i do like white space, but maybe not that much...

so i figure i'll make it pretty and make a sign fill up all that other space on the shelf. i mean, if i had more time, i would get a much smaller shelf, but have to use what is already in the gallery. that way i can at least cross one thing off my list.

I made 3 audio recordings of different women participating in this non-profit group. It's basically a series of classes designed to give farm women the skills to manage their farms. I made a website for all of the video + audio, but keep having problems uploading it. and of course this audio was created within the past couple weeks, so you are the first people to hear it!
